Now that I skipped Tongue Twister Tuesday for a while, I (more or less) proudly present a compilation of tongue twisters around clocks and wristwatches, have a try!
I wish I hadn`t washed this wristwatch.
I washed all the wheels and works.
Since the wristwatch got all washed,
Oh, how it jumps and jerks.
If two witches would watch two watches,
which witch would watch which watch?
Rhys watched Ross switch his Irish wristwatch for a Swiss wristwatch.
♪♫ Some musical company while trying to perform these?
Listen to Clocks (by Coldplay), Irish wristwatch (by degcon or BuskerBros) and Turn turn turn (by The Byrds).
Happy tongue-twisting!

I bet you know this classical English tongue twister... it`s not just one of the tongue-twisting sayings that you could use to "impress" people (if that is still possible), it`s also well-used as a striking example for alliterations e.g. in school classes.
Today`s tongue twister follows a very easy pattern: First, there`s a statement. Then, you repeat that statement again, but in different word order. For the last part of the lyric poem, the reader just questions the statement as if he wasn`t quite sure, if it`s right.
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled pepper.
A peck of pickled pepper Peter Piper picked.
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled pepper,
where`s the peck of pickled pepper Peter Piper picked?
♪♫ For a little challenge try to sing along this funny song by Bryant Oden`s Songdrops...
Happy tongue-twisting!

I really ♥♥♥ tongue twisters, clever and/or funny quotes, long words, sayings etc. In alternation with my Tuesday Tunes I`d like to present some of my favourites of the categories listed above, always seasoned with a nice photography or drawing and a music tip. Today, my focus is on how night-lights light up the night...
You`ve no need
to light a night-light
on a light night like tonight.
For a night-light light`s a slight light
and tonight`s a night that`s light.
When a night`s light like tonight`s night,
it`s really not quite right
to light night-lights with their slight lights
on a light night like tonight.
Hope you enjoyed it.
Next tuesday there`ll be another Tuesday Tunes with a lot of cars...
See `ya
